Introduction
Dr Shaun Loh is a Senior Consultant Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgeon. With over 15 years of experience in the public healthcare sector, he is recognized for his comprehensive approach to treating a wide range of ENT conditions, including nasal blockages, sinus issues, throat disorders, and hearing loss.
Dr Loh’s subspecialty expertise is in the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Drawing on his extensive experience in a multidisciplinary sleep center, he provides patients with the full spectrum of care, from optimising conservative treatments to advanced solutions like soft tissue and robotic surgery, as well as the innovative hypoglossal nerve neurostimulator implant surgery. As the pioneer in the field of hypoglossal nerve neurostimulation in Singapore, Dr. Loh is the only appointed consulting surgeon for Inspire Medical Systems in the region, where he trains ENT specialists across Singapore and the region in this cutting-edge treatment.
Before entering private practice, Dr Loh served as a Consultant and Chief of Sleep Surgery at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He was also a Consultant at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Sleep Centre and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Throughout his career at SGH, Dr Loh earned multiple Heart of Gold and Service Excellence Awards, reflecting his unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. His approach is characterized by empathy, authenticity, and a genuine desire to enhance his patients’ quality of life.
