Introduction
Dr Lam Pin Min is the CEO of Eagle Eye Centre, and a senior consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in paediatric ophthalmology. Dr Lam graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1993 and obtained his postgraduate qualifications – FRCS (Edinburgh) and MMed (Ophthalmology) in 2000.
Having trained as an Aviation Medicine Specialist with a diploma in Aviation Medicine form the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 1997, Dr Lam served as a flight surgeon with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) from 1995 to 2003. He was appointed a Member of the Civil Aviation Medical Board and Advisor to the Society of Aviation Medicine Singapore.
As a trained surgeon and specialist in paediatric ophthalmology, he worked at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 2005 to 2013, before going into private practice in 2014. He is currently a Visiting Senior Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
Dr Lam was actively involved as the Singapore representative in the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) from 2014-2020 and was the Executive Board Member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) from 2019-2020.
