Dr Ganesh Ramalingam is a Consultant General Surgeon at G&L Surgical Clinic, based at HMI Medical Centre and Mount Elizabeth Novena Medical Centre. He also practises at several major hospitals in Singapore including Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Orchard Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway East Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital, Farrer Park Hospital and Thomson Medical Centre.

Dr Ganesh believes in evidence-based and holistic patient care, focusing not only on treating the medical condition but also helping patients adopt healthier lifestyles for long-term wellbeing.

His clinical interests include hernias, stomach and gallbladder diseases, colorectal conditions, appendicitis, gastrointestinal cancers, anal diseases, diabetes, and soft tissue lumps. He also provides treatment for weight management through bariatric surgery and non-surgical methods.

Dr Ganesh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997 and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has published 15 peer-reviewed articles and presented more than 60 papers at international conferences, with research interests in Trauma, Critical Care, Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of General Surgery at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
