Dr Ooi obtained her Medical Degree from University of Malaysia Sarawak in 2017. She pursued her interest in Occupational Health and obtained her qualification as Occupational Health Doctor in 2022 under National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. She subsequently completed her Graduate Certificate in Family Medicine (GCFM) in 2023. She is also a Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE) certified practitioner, the only internationally-recognised obesity management qualification conferred by the World Obesity Federation.
