Dr Amitabh Monga is an academy accredited, fellowship-trained gastroenterologist. Apart from general Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr Monga has a special interest in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, having numerous ERCPs, oesophageal, duodenal and colonic stents under his belt. Dr Monga played an active role in educating the future generation of medical students.

For his efforts, he was awarded the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence for the year 2008 and 2009 at the Yong Loo Lin Medical School, NUS. There, he was a core faculty member in the post-graduate residency programme in Gastroenterology.

He has several publications in various indexed journals and was an invited faculty at GI Hep 2013 to 2018 and SHOLEC 2014 and 2015. Through 2005 to 2009, he was awarded Excellent Service Award by Spring Singapore. He also earned the Service Champion Award by the National Healthcare Group. While at Raffles hospital, he was awarded the Chairman’s Award for Service Excellence in 2019.

Taking another leap in his professional development, Dr Monga, alongside his friends and colleagues, set up the Asia Digestive Associates to take care of all forms of digestive problems.
