Dr Vidhya Dharshini Pillay is an accredited Family Physician with 15 years of medical practice and a special interest in geriatric medicine, palliative care and home care.

Dr Pillay completed her medical studies as a postgraduate student at the National University of Ireland in 2009. After graduation, she completed her housemanship and underwent medical officer rotations in Singapore. She has more than 10 years of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care experience both in clinical and community settings. She also has vast experience in home care.

Prior to joining StarMed, Dr Pillay was a Family Physician in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She was a clinical tutor in the faculty of Medicine at both Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. She is a certified facilitator for Advance Care Planning (ACP) and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA). She has also served as clinical co-lead and member of various cluster level steering committees, hospital committees and workgroups in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

In her personal capacity, Dr Pillay serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for the Ministry of Social and Family Development and is a member of the Elder-Care Management Sub-Committee of Sree Narayana Mission, Singapore.
