Serena has been the Chief Executive Officer of Regency Specialist Hospital (RSH) since 2018.

Prior to this role, she served as HMI Group’s Chief People Officer. With 28 years in the Information Technology industry, Serena began her career as a Product Specialist at Hewlett Packard Singapore in 1988 and rose to Managing Director before transitioning to healthcare.

Driven by a passion for health and wellness, Serena has significantly advanced RSH’s growth and development. She has focused on onboarding medical specialists, doubling the hospital’s capacity, and enhancing patient care, all while upholding RSH’s core values of Compassion, Competence, and Collaboration. Her leadership has fostered a multidisciplinary network of doctors, delivering comprehensive patient care.

Serena's strategic initiatives have consistently exceeded financial and quality metrics, leading to numerous awards and accolades for RSH, including accreditation by the Malaysia Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) and elite membership in the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC).

Serena is committed to community outreach, exemplified by leading RSH and Mahkota Medical Centre in a record-setting mass CPR event recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records, among other initiatives. She also leverages her extensive IT background to drive digital transformation at RSH, aiming to enhance patient experiences and improve work productivity, steering the hospital towards becoming a future-ready institution.

Serena holds a Bachelor of Business (Computing) from Queensland University of Technology, Australia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
