Mr Lee Mun Choon

    GM of HMI Institute

    Mr Lee Mun Choon has led HMI Institute of Health Sciences, the social enterprise arm of HMI Medical, since February 2022, following his earlier role as Director of Learning and Operations from 2019.

    Under his leadership, the Institute has deepened its focus on workforce development, industry partnerships, and digital adoption in training delivery. Aligned with the Institute’s social mission, he has also strengthened community engagement through health education and outreach, expanding the Institute’s role in building a more resilient and care-ready population.

    Prior to joining HMI Institute, Mr Lee held senior appointments in the Singapore Armed Forces, overseeing portfolios in human capital, policy, and training systems.

    Passionate about adult education, he’s currently an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and is a regular speaker on leadership, digital transformation, and the future of lifelong learning at platforms such as SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), Singapore Management University (SMU), and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).

    A strong advocate for social impact, Mr Lee volunteers with the Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) (RDSS) and coaches individuals navigating mid-career transitions.

    He holds a Master of Arts in Lifelong Learning and Leadership from University College London, a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Instruction.
