Dr Sankari graduated from Crimea State Medical University in 2008. She became a Psychiatrist after obtaining her Master of Psychological Medicine from University Malaya in 2017. She subsequently completed her fellowship subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2022.

Dr Sankari is a member of the Malaysian Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association (MYCAP) and the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP).
