    Introduction

    Dr Sim is a Consultant Urologist with expertise in Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. He graduated with honours in 2005 from University College of Dublin, Ireland. He subsequently completed his Urology Specialist training in Singapore General Hospital. There, he was awarded a Singhealth fellowship to further advance his skills in minimally invasive surgery at Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen, Germany.

    Dr Sim was Director of Endourology in Department of Urology, Singapore General Hospital where he has practiced for 15 years. He has migrated to Malaysia during COVID-19 and was instrumental in setting-up Urology services in Gleneagles Medini Johor, Malaysia.

    He was responsible in introducing the first robotic surgical system to Southern Malaysia - Da Vinci Xi. He has performed over 150 cases of robotic surgeries in past 1 year for both benign and malignant conditions. Dr Sim has also pioneered minimally invasive treatment of BPH by introducing Prolieve Microwave Thermodilatation to patients in Johor. Dr Sim was also the first to introduce high power laser for stone treatment in Malaysia and he has performed more than 1000 stone surgeries during his time in Johor.
