Job Description
As an Automation Developer specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions that significantly enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, establish RPA frameworks, and integrate these solutions into our existing system landscape. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development, deep expertise in various RPA tools, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement through innovative automation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and pinpoint opportunities for RPA and automation enhancements.
- Design and develop automation solutions using RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) along with scripting languages and custom software.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to RPA architecture, design, and automation processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of automation for various business processes, focusing on RPA potential.
- Integrate RPA solutions with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless functionality, data integrity, and workflow efficiency.
- Perform rigorous testing of RPA components to validate accuracy, reliability, and performance under various conditions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations and quick resolution of any challenges.
- Optimize RPA processes for enhanced performance, scalability, and maintainability in alignment with best practices.
- Stay informed about emerging RPA technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure all RPA implementations comply with security and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and ongoing support to end-users to facilitate the successful adoption and utilization of automation solutions.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of RPA initiatives, proposing enhancements based on performance metrics.
- Manage outsourced RPA projects and collaborate with external consultants to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on automation and RPA and an individual who can handle a project from initiation to completion.
- Proven expertise in UiPath
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript for scripting and automation development.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis and design, particularly in banking or financial services environments.
- Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and methodologies (e.g., BPMN) to document and analyze workflows.
- Solid experience integrating automation solutions with existing systems and databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with automation solutions is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work Independently with minimal supervision
- A proactive mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement through technology and automation.
- Previous experience in a consulting role or working within a consulting firm or Banking is highly desirable.
